Biography :
Tenor Bulent Bezduz graduated from the Music Academy of Gazi University in Ankara. He started his voice studies with Polish Tenor Roman Werlinski. He made his debut at the Mersin State Opera as Alfredo in the Verdi's "La Traviata".
In 1997 he was invited to further his studies at the European Opera Centre in Manchester and He made his Europe debut in the title role of Mozart´s opera Lucio Silla on tour in the UK, Ireland and Denmark.
In 1999 he won the second prize in the Concours International de Chant de Paris during his studies in the Centre National d'Insertion Professionnelle d'Artistes Lyriques (CNIPAL) in Marseille.
He has performed with great conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Riccardo Chailly, Enrique Mazzola, David Perry, Pietro Rizzo, Vladimir Jurowsky, and such a famous orchestras like Amsterdam Cocertgebouw and London Symphony Orchestra. He joind many times at the Aspendos International Opera Festival. He has also made Recording of Les Troyens and Falstaff with LSO under Sir Colin Davis.
He sang at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Opera de Marseille, Opera de Lausanne, Opera de Nancy, Portland Oregon (USA), Canadian Opera Company Toronto, Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires, Izmir State Opera ,Ankara Opera House, Mersin State Opera,De Vlaamse Opera, Bühnen der Stadt Köln, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Regio di Torino, A’hoy, Babican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Opera de Rennes, De Nederlandse Opera, Klagenfurt Opera, Giessen Stadttheater, Grand Theatre de Tours, Buxton Opera House, London Shaftesbury Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, North Wales Theatre, LlandudnoTheare, Edinburg Festival Theatre, Theatre Royal , Norwich, Dublin National Concert Hall, Cork Opera House, Belfast Grand Opera House, Cantebury Marlowe Theatre, Derngate Theatre, Northampton Theatre, Brighton Festival at Theatre Royal, Brighton Bath Festival at Theatre Royal,Goteborg Opera House, Royal Festival Hall-Opera Rara, Samsun Opera House and Glyndebourne Opera Festival.
Grammy Awards:
Bülent Bezdüz had the honor to receive Grammy Awards in 2006 and 2002. He participated in two opera recordings with LSO conducted by Sir Colin Davis : Verdi's Falstaff (role of Fenton ) won the the Best Opera Recording at the 48th Grammy Awards and Berlioz's Les Troyens (role of Hellenus) won the Best Classical Recording and Best Opera Recording at the 44th Grammy Awards.
