The whole Course is completely free. No fee would be asked to the singers or for any of the activites, Master Classes or coaching. Singers have to pay for their living in Marseilles during the whole Course (appartment and catering).

How is the Course organized ?

The course is based around the following themes :

  • Widening technical knowledge (reading and analysis), musical culture (notions of harmony, analysis of various styles), training in "opera" languages (Italian, German, French, etc.).
  • Compiling a repertoire for auditions.
  • Preparing roles under the direction of a Conductor and a Vocal Coach.
  • Master Meeting or Master Classes.
  • Participating in recitals and concerts with an orchestra.
  • Contacts may be offered by French and European theatres during and at the end of the course.
  • Further study of performing arts : acting, commedia dell' arte, dance, make-up, etc.
  • Private auditions attended by professionals : each year, directors of musical theatres, artistic agents, conductors, directors, etc, are invited to private performances given by CNIPAL students. This means that by the end of the course, singers have been heard by key professionals in France and have received feedback from them on their individual performance. They have also benefited from many recruitment opportunities and gained experience in the art of auditioning.
